Personal Testimony
I would like to share a little bit of my testimony.
Some years ago was a very bad time, my mum had just died and my children were in grave
danger and I was at my wit’s end.
One night in Newport I saw the bus, I saw someone in there that I knew and I thought to myself
” what is he doing in a Christian bus”.
So I went in, they made me a drink and made me welcome.
They spoke about Jesus and how He came to save us.
They spoke as if He was real, I did nothing at the time because I thought if I asked Jesus into my life I was betraying my mum’s religion.
I was drawn back to the “Godpod” that was the name of the bus.
I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my life. I could not ever imagine the change.
I felt compelled to tell people about Jesus how He can change our lives in a moment and by His grace He will allow me to continue to share.
Every blessing Marion.
I have known this lady all my life and I can tell you that she would not be doing what she does if her faith was not in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Her life is a living testimony of God’s grace and goodness.
She is without a doubt a great encouragement and I’m blessed to know her. Mick.
Greetings
Easter is just around the corner and we will be carrying the cross and witnessing around the Island the Lord willing of course. If you would like to know more about Marion’s testimony you can reach her through us on the numbers on our newsletter. Every blessing Mick

God is in Control
Recently all we seem to hear is bad news. The world seems to be in chaos, with wars and rumours of wars, countries against each other, changes in climate, Christians being persecuted.
Easter is coming up when we remember that Jesus died and rose again to save us from our sins. Spring is upon us when new life appears, and there is so much beauty around us. The Bible tells us we need not fear, and whatever may happen we must remember that God is in control. Blessings, Heather.
He drank the cup for us
In 1984, a doctor named Barry Marshall in Australia drank a beaker of deadly bacteria to prove the to the medical world the results of his research which went against the long-established conclusions when treating stomach ulcers.
He teamed up with his colleague Robin Warren, and they looked at stomach biopsies from ulcer patients, which showed spiral-shaped bacteria thriving in the stomach lining. Stomach acid is very potent and it was believed micro-organisms could not thrive or exist in the stomach lining or at least long term.
The work of Barry and Robin was not accepted by the consensus of the medical world and it was believed that the ulcers were caused by stress, bad diet, smoking and alcohol or genetics. They met with stern resistance and dismissal of their research and even mockery.
To cut the story short, the only real way Barry Marshall had left was to drink down the cup of cloudy bacterial broth that he had cultured.
The breakthrough finally came after he developed the infection, acute gastritis and then treated it with anti-biotics. He was said to say it tasted like swamp water when he drank it. In 2005 the pair were recognised for their work and awarded the Nobel prize. Before then, patients were treated long term with medication and had to have repeated surgeries. Now the lives of millions were changed thanks to this very radical and seemingly rash action.
As I read about this, it reminded me that Jesus said in the garden of Gethsemane when faced with the cross before him, ‘O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt’. Matthew 26: 39 KJV. Then when the mob arrived to arrest Jesus he said to Peter, ‘Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?’ – John 18: 11.
Our Lord went to calvary and was nailed to the cross – he did drink the cup – the poison of our sin, the bitter taste of God’s judgement that should have been ours and laid down his life to carry our sorrows. The established religious order threw everything at him in hatred and rejection due to their unbelief, though he showed his identity in power to all that encountered him. The devil and the worlds forces combined could not hold him back by fulfilling his mission to once and for all redeem those who were lost and take the punishment that bought our peace. Love took him there for all who were under the curse of sin and made the way possible for us to be saved and reconciled to God. ‘ If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved’. Romans 10:9, 10.
Blessings, Nigel.
Christ Is Risen Indeed!
Without His resurrection we are like those without hope as the Apostle Paul said “if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised” I Cor 15 vrs 13 BSB.
Our lives lived for Jesus would be futile and a waste! The truth that should fill our hearts and minds with joy is that our Saviour is truly risen indeed. Our salvation is secure in Him. “Praise the Lord”.
It is a time for rejoicing even though we are overwhelmed by His suffering and death on the cross to purchase our redemption from sin. Blessings, Roy
