Greetings
Once again I am very grateful to the dear Lord for allowing me the strength to complete the Easter walk this year. It’s by God’s grace that we were allowed to leave the Cross with members of the general public at various locations overnight. We were grateful, after a gruelling walk from Shanklin to Chale that a member of the public refreshed us with drink and food “for the least in the Kingdom”. We carried the Cross as witness for the price Jesus paid for our sins. The word of God teaches that we are born into sin, Psalm 51v5 (no parent has to teach their child to misbehave we have to teach them to behave). Everyone must turn away from that rebellious nature and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ who paid the price or we suffer the consequences Romans 2v5&6 (storing up God’s wrath).
John Newton wrote:-
SIN AND IT’S CURE
The worst of all disease, Is light compared with sin;
On every part it seizes, But rages most within.
Tis palsy, plague, and fever, And madness all combined;
And none but a believer, The least relief can find.
From men great skill professing, I thought a cure to gain,
But this proved more distressing, And added to my pain.
Some said that nothing ailed me, Some gave me up for lost;
Thus every refuge failed me, And all my hopes were crossed.
At length the Great Physician, How matchless in His grace,
Accepted my petition, And undertook my case.
First gave me sight to view Him -, For sin my eyes had sealed;
Then bid me LOOK unto Him! I looked, and I was healed.
Every blessing Mick
Obeying The Signs
I have noticed when walking or driving that the speed signs are often ignored. The mandatory signs have been installed to safe guard all users of our highways. The scriptures also are there to warn us to remain on the narrow way that leads to life and yet how often do we ignore them at our cost, John Bunyan’s Pilgrims Progress illustrates this very well. Jesus said of Himself that “He is the Way, the Truth and the Life”. If we follow Him then whatever the road of life brings we will always be safe in the Lord. Every blessing. Roy

Christ Crucified
Paul was a highly-trained student of the Old Testament writings, Jewish law, and of logic and rhetoric; and evidently he was conversant in Roman law as well. When preaching the gospel, however, he focused on the message itself and the power of God, and not on rhetorical techniques of persuasion. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (KJV) ‘And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellence of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God’.
Further event dates
The bus team are looking forward to attending once again two of the Isle of Wight main family shows. The first will be at the Chale Show at the Military Road site on the weekend of 3/8/19 & 4/8/19; then at the Wolverton Manor show just outside of Shorwell for the weekend of 31/8/19 and 1/9/19. We will have our bus on site and also our marquee for face painting, children’s activities, book stall and “bric a brac” for sale. Our main purpose is of course to represent our dear Lord and to give out tracts as we are lead. Please pray for us that our witness will bear fruit.
We thank you for your continued encouragement and support.
