God is in control<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Lord’s blessings to you all.
\nThere’s a lot of talk about the middle east conflict, it has been going on for centuries brought on by
\ndisobedience. Judges 2 v1-4 & 6 v 8-10 (Jesus angel of the Lord) Genesis 16 v 7, led them, fought
\nfor them, fed and clothed them and they turned their backs on him.Numbers 33 v 55, they did not
\ndrive out the inhabitants of the land, the land belongs to God and now they are barbs in their eyes
\nand thorns in their flesh. God has always taken the initiative, things happen because He chooses,
\nno-one can force His hand, He is in the arena of history, fighting for His loved one’s God never
\nspeaks simply to convey information but to achieve results. He spoke and it happened, He
\ncommanded and it came to being. Psalm 53 v 39 & Isaiah 55 v 11 the word of the prophet is a
\nstatement of God’s intention combined with a demand for man’s cooperation.
\nAmos 3 v 7 & Genesis 18 v 17 surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret plan
\nto His servant. Revelation 16 v16-21 God’s kingdom most certainly will come and His Will, will be
\ndone. His plan from the beginning Isaiah 9 v 6.
\nDo not let your heart be troubled and do not worry about what is happening in our world today
\nbecause our Father God is in control and nothing can thwart His purpose.
\nLook to the great white throne and the Lord Jesus Christ who has conquered death and hell, make
\nno mistake the Lord will minister true justice and punishment to fit the crime.
\nAs a nation we ought to be mindful and watchful as watchmen on the wall.
\nPlease read 1Peter 1 v3-9 for comfort.

O Come Let Us Adore Him<\/strong><\/span>
\n(Definition) Adoration is often defined as praising God for who God is. In adoration, the Triune God:
\nFather, Son and Holy Spirit is the object of our worship and exaltation. We praise the very nature
\nof God, reminding ourselves that the Father is the most holy, almighty creator of the universe.
\nThe carol sung at this time of the year, O come all ye faithful has the refrain \u201dO come let us adore
\nHim Christ the Lord\u201d. This surely is what we believers are called to do every day to adore our dear
\nLord. Having come to our earth for thirty three years Jesus understands our concerns and He was
\noffered up on the cross to take our sins away to give us eternal life with Him.

\nFor God so loved the world
\nthat He gave His onlybegotten
\nSon, that whoever
\nbelieves in Him, should not
\nperish but have everlasting
\nlife.
\nThat is the greatest gift of all! Whether we celebrate Christmas or not we can surely rejoice that we
\nhave a Triune God who loves us.

Trusting God<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe have just finished reading the book of Daniel. In this we are told of three young men who stood
\nup for what they believed in, by refusing to worship a false God. King Nebuchadnezzar, at the time,
\nthen orders that they be thrown into a fiery furnace to die. Because of their faithfulness, they
\nsurvived unharmed.
\nKing Nebuchadnezzar\u2019s reaction to this was \u201cBlessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and
\nAbed-nego. (14-26). In this we see the right way to hold on to our faith and beliefs, trusting God
\nwith the outcome. God may miraculously preserve our lives, or he may not.
\nBut this must not change how we respond to anyone who tests our faith.

My eyes have seen your salvation<\/strong><\/span>
\nLuke 2 25-32, And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man
\nwas just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.And it
\nhad been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the
\nLord\u2019s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child
\nJesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed
\nGod and said: \u201cLord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to
\nYour word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all
\npeoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.\u201d
\nSimeon had a very unique promise in that he was told by the Lord he would not leave this world
\nwithout witnessing the advent of the Messiah coming in the flesh. God was faithful to his word. We
\nmay not have been party to that blessed world changing event but we can say each of us who
\nknow the Lord\u2019s calling that we have seen the salvation of the Lord in our lives.
\n1 Peter 1: 8 says;\u2019 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing,
\nyou rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory\u2019,
\nWe await a time when we shall see him as he is.
\nOne day we will see Him: 1 John 3: 2 \u2018Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet
\nbeen revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him,
\nfor we shall see Him as He is\u2019.
\nAt Christmas we remember when the king of kings entered our fallen world to show us the way
\nback to God and to save us. He so loved us that he laid his life down and took our punishment. He
\nhas defeated sin, the devil and laid up for us the gift of life.
\nOur journey in this world may take different twists and turns but through it all God will keep us in
\nhis love and receive all of those who have placed their hope in Jesus.
