Greetings<\/strong><\/span>
\nGod’s blessing to you all.
\nBy God’s good grace we have just completed all the shows this year and it’s not been without its
\nchallenges.
\nAt Chale show on the Saturday, we had to fight against a gale and torrential rain and our marquee
\nsurvived and we all managed to keep safe.
\nPsalm 71v9 say’s “do not cast me off in old age, do not forsake me when my strength fails\u201d and
\nv18 “now also when I’m old and grey headed, O God do not forsake me.”
\nI looked in the mirror the other day and saw that the muscle that was once on the top of my arm is
\nnow underneath but praise the Lord.
\nPsalm 92v13 “those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our
\nGod\u201d and in V14 ” they shall still bear fruit in old age, they shall be (fat) fresh and flourishing.”
\nOur great vine dresser will prune us to bear fruit for His glory.
\nGrey hair may slow us down but it shouldn’t stop us.
\nWe continue to go out on the streets to try and make the invisible God visible, that \u201cWe may teach
\ntransgressors your ways and sinners shall be converted unto you\u201d.
\nWe may feel like a bruised reed or smoking flax but He will not leave us or forsake us, He will give
\nus strength to serve.

Busy Summer<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Lord has blessed us with a busy summer season where we were able to attend both Chale
\nand Wolverton shows. Our face painters had lots to do as many children wanted their faces
\npainted, the most popular design was the unicorn. We welcomed Wendy who has joined our face
\npainting team.
\nWe had many opportunities to witness for our dear Lord and we do pray that seeds sown will
\nproduce fruit in it\u2019s season. Saturday at Chale will be remembered for many years to come owing
\nto the stormy weather and the cancellation of the show that day. Sunday made up for the lost day
\nas the show was well attended. This year at Wolverton our site was placed near the canoe lake.
\nWe were blessed as the weather was very good both days and again this show was well attended.
\nWe continue to take our bus out on Tuesday Freshwater, Wednesday Wroxall and Thursday
\nShanklin from 7pm. The Lord provides encounters with those who need Him in their lives.
\nYour prayer support is always greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n

Thoughts on the letter of James<\/strong><\/span>
\nJames tells us that there is the testing of our faith and this should produce patience. How often
\nwhen faced with various trials we take our eyes off the Lord and find ourselves floundering.We
\nturn this way and that rather than trusting that the Lord is working for our ultimate good.
\nI am not pretending that it is easy but we can trust Him as He has promised \u201cNever to leave us or
\nforsake us\u201d. If you are going through a difficult time then ask those you know who love the Lord
\nto pray for you and support you where needed.

Forthcoming AGM<\/strong><\/span>
\nOur annual general meeting is scheduled for Friday October 27th at 7pm. This will be online
\nrather than a physical meeting. If you would like to attend then please contact Roy Moul either by

\nGod\u2019s Questions
\nWe have all heard of the what is called a searching question\u2019. It is a question that goes straight to
\nthe heart of a matter and challenges your thinking with the effect that it requires an honest answer
\neven if it makes the responder uncomfortable.
\nGod\u2019s reason is to challenge us; to consider that state of our own hearts; to set us straight; to draw
\nus from ourselves and to meet with him. There are particular places in scripture where God asks
\nspecific individuals or audiences such a question, but we see that these very questions also are for
\nus to consider.
\nJob asked the Lord questions about his suffering but instead of directly answering the question,
\nGod asks Job a question. \u2018Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?\u2019 He asked Job
\n77 questions in all that covered the realms of cosmology, oceanography, meteorology and the world
\nof animals but they all stem from that first question.
\nGod did reveal Himself to Job who came to know that the purpose of God is way, way bigger and
\nhigher than we can fathom. Job replied that he spoke of what he did not know, things too
\nwonderful for him to comprehend. There is one that could answer God\u2019s question on our behalf
\nwho is qualified to say \u2018I was there when you laid the foundation of the earth (see Hebrews 1v 10)
\nbecause he created it himself – John 1 v 1-3. Colossians 1 \u2013 15-17.
\nHe could also in his humanity identify with our suffering. He knew the path of pain, what it was to
\nbe terribly alone, abandoned and falsely accused. The Lord Jesus Christ not only identified with us
\nbut he stood in our place to deal with the very thing that caused all of the suffering and pain. He
\ntook our sin though he himself was without fault.
\nGod does not always answer our questions in the way we might expect or wish, but he has
\nanswered our questions through the incarnation, life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ.
\nTo him be glory and praise, now and forever.
