Greetings<\/strong>
\n\u201cWith loving kindness I have drawn thee\u201d Jer: 31 vrs 3.
\nGreetings to you all in the Lord Jesus Christ.
\nWe’ve had a lot of fellowship lately with Percy!!! (PERSEVERANCE!!)
\nIt seems that life is one big fair ground, you try to get information and straight away you are taken for a ride on a carousel. An automated voice tells you that you are No 28 in the queue and for
\ntraining purposes, press 1 for stress, press 2 for depression, press 3 for anxiety; \u2018our lines are very busy at the moment and your call is very important to us\u2019!!! 2 hours later, blood pressure goes up, someone answers the phone to tell you that all the slots have been taken and you’ll have to call back tomorrow morning ha! ha! (PERSEVERANCE!!)
\nIsaiah says in 48 vrs 10 \u201cI have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction\u201d.
\nOur infinite gracious God never puts us on \u201chold\u201d, He’s always attentive to His children’s cry.
\nPaul says we’re justified by faith so we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, access by faith into His grace, unmerited favour, knowing that tribulation produces PERSEVERANCE!
\nCHARACTER and HOPE. Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
\nBy God’s grace we shall endeavour this Holy week to walk the cross as in previous years. We would appreciate your prayers, this year will be a little different as we’re small in number and we’ll be walking on the pavements only.
\nThe Lord willing, there will be street witness in St James’s square Newport on Good Friday. It will most definitely be PERSEVERANCE!! We offer God our weaknesses that He would enable us to fulfil the desire of our hearts to be witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ. We purpose in our hearts but ultimately God directs our steps. 2 Cor 12 vrs 9. My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
\nMay the Good Lord bless you this Easter, family, friends and loved ones.

Gods Faithfulness<\/strong>
\nCovid has left many people so fearful that they found it difficult to leave their homes or go out and
\nmeet people, or go to the shops or Church as they would have liked. Also, with the different things
\ngoing on in the world and the terrible things that are happening in Ukraine at the time of writing this, are not helping, but God is also doing miracles in Ukraine. We all have different fears, some
\nirrational. One of mine for some reason was motorways, where to see our relations we need to go on three different motorways in succession to get there. I had to pray hard about it, and when God finally released me from this fear it made such a difference to my life and made me feel quite
\njoyous. Regardless of what happens in life, the Lord tells us not to fear, He will take care of us. In Timothy it says God did not give us a spirit of fear. David said in Psalm 34 verse 4. \u201cI sought the Lord and he delivered me from all my fears.\u201d May we seek the Lord and with his help overcome our fears.
\nWe thank you for your continued interest and we give praise to the dear Lord, Amen.<\/p>\n

Run With Endurance<\/strong>
\nHebrews 12 vrs 1 & 2, Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of
\nwitnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which easily ensnares us, and let us run with
\nendurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
\nwho for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the
\nright hand of the throne of God.
\nThe writer of Hebrews seeks to encourage us not to give up as there is a great cloud of witnesses
\nurging us on. He also refers to our dear Saviour who bore great suffering on the cross to save us
\nfrom our sins and to give us who believe and trust Him eternal life. At the time of writing we are
\nlooking forward to Holy Week and all that it means to us. Every time we share in communion we
\nremember our Lord affectionately until the day we attend that great feast the marriage supper of
\nthe Lamb. What joy awaits us when we see Him face to face. Let us run with endurance so that we
\nmay hear those words \u201cWell done good and faithful servant\u201d. Every blessing Roy<\/p>\n

Gods peace in the turmoil
\nPraise the Lord,

We can’t help but worry about things that are out of our control and happening in the world today.
\nCovid is still a massive worry for most of us, as well as all the personal circumstances we all go through. We can know and trust in a powerful God who can help us overcome these struggles, if we trust in him.
\nPhilippians (4:6-7) tells us \u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which tran-scends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds, in Christ Jesus\u201d.

Easter Outreach<\/strong>
\nThe Easter holidays are nearly on us once again and it seems a long time ago since we were out and about in this way. We look forward to this year\u2019s \u2018Walk of Witness\u2019 though reduced in number. Who knows what opportunities for gospel conversation the Lord will direct, but pray that He will certainly use this time for His glory and that seeds will be sown. The walk will take place from Palm Sunday 10th April to Easter Sunday 17th April, with a rest day on Saturday April 16th. On Good Friday we will be aiming to set up for street outreach at St James Square, Newport in the morning.
\nThe walks will be through pavement areas only with the cross being transported between town areas of the island. We may not be able to do what we once did physically for the walk, but spiritually we make ourselves available and who knows that the loving, gracious Lord we serve may speak hope into the life of someone in need of Jesus .<\/p>\n
